TIANA LIUFAU

Tiana Nonosina Liufau is a visionary leader in cultural storytelling and performance. As Creative Director and Raʻatira of Nonosina Polynesia, she continues to evolve a legacy she was born into, shaping it through her own voice, discipline, and purpose. Her journey is rooted in the foundation laid by her grandmother Estella Nonosina Reid, lovingly known as Gram, who founded Nonosina in 1965. This year, Nonosina proudly celebrates 60 years of cultural excellence. Tiana carries that legacy forward with strength, clarity, and impact.

She is the Cultural Consultant and Choreographer for Disney’s Moana and Moana 2 and currently serves as Associate Producer, Choreographer, and Cultural Consultant for the upcoming live-action Moana. Her creative leadership brings Pacific storytelling to global audiences while honoring the cultural accuracy, heart, and nuance behind every detail.

Her choreography has been featured on So You Think You Can Dance and performed on major stages around the world. Every piece she creates is rooted in ancestral knowledge and guided by intention.

Tiana is a proud graduate of UCLA with a degree in World Arts and Cultures. She blends academic foundation with a lifetime of cultural experience, shaping her into a leader whose work lives far beyond the stage. She builds alongside her business partner and manager Kayla Faʻamaligi, expanding opportunities for Pacific voices to rise in spaces where they have long been underrepresented.

At the center of it all is Gram. Her vision built the path and Tiana continues to pave it with purpose, with responsibility, and with the kind of fire that does not fade.

This is a legacy built through movement, held through generations, and carried with pride.
